Banking and financial stock Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) was the only stock traded today. The stock was up 5toea to end high at K8.75 with registered volume of 8,542 shares worth K51,117.50.
U.S stocks finished lower in overnight as energy shares tracked oil prices lower as the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed up 62.00 points or 0.34% at 18,457.00 points. Japanese stocks edged up to three-month closing highs in choppy trade after gains by banks offset weak mining shares. The Nikkei share average rose 39.44 points or 0.23% at 16,926.84 points. The Australian stock market extended losses from the previous session, tracking the negative lead overnight from Wall Street and the fall in crude oil prices. The benchmark S&P/ASX 200 declined 13.10 points or 0.24% to 5,419.90 points.
