POMSoX stocks were stable on the first trading day of the week. The Kina Securities main index, the KSi, stayed flat at 3,654.73 points at the close, while the home index or the KSHi was unchanged at 8,087.33 points.
Stocks that traded today ended unmoved. Credit Corporation Ltd (CCP) closed at K2.20, supported by the share buyback program and Marengo Mining Ltd (MMC) ended at 13 toea with intraday low of 12 toea today.
Monday’s trading recorded total of 119,755 of shares at a value of K21,695.03.
In overseas markets, U.S stocks were flat on Friday as more violence in Ukraine prompted profit-takings despite jubilant April unemployment of 6.3%. The DJIA moved 45.98 points or 0.28% to end at 16,512.89 high. Asian stocks generally fell as China manufacturing missed estimates. Japan’s Nikkei share average dropped 28 points or 0.19% to close at 14,458 points. Australian sharemarket ended an uneventful trading as the benchmark S&P/ASX 200 closed flat at 5,462.20, up 4.14 points or 0.08%.
