Monday’s POMSOX trading session was active as one stock indice gained. The Kina Securities main index KSi rose 3.03 points or 0.07% to 4,647.03 points while the Kina Securities Home Index KSHi was steady at 9,821.37 points.
One stock gained while the rest remained unchanged.
Winning stock for the day was Oil Search Ltd (OSH) added 3toea to close high at K17.15.
Other stocks traded included Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) and Credit Corporation Ltd (CCP) evened out at K8.27 and K1.67 flat respectively. Followed closely by City Pharmacy Ltd (CPL) at K1.15 flat.
Total shares transacted today were 29,499 shares valued at K74,022.49.
In offshore markets, U.S stocks rose cautiously to notch a fourth week of gains, with a rally by telecom shares offsetting weakness in the industrial sectors as the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 53.62 points or 0.29% to 18,570.85 points. Japan’s Nikkei gained on BOJ stimulus buoyed by gains on Wall Street as the Nikkei rose 0.4% to 16,690.60 points.The Australian share market resumed its upward course, boosted by expectations of an interest rate cut, and a lift in the shares of Woolworth after the ailing supermarket giant announced restructuring plans. The benchmark S&P/ASX 200 was up 35.4 points or 0.64% at 5,533.60 points.
