KSi Daily Report: Monday, 23 December 2013

POMSoX trading was quiet ahead of the Christmas day as the Kina Securities stock indices remained unchanged. The main index, the KSi stayed at 3,871.54 points. Meanwhile, the Kina Securities Home index, the KSHi was also flat at 8,174.22 points.

Bank South pacific Ltd (BSP) was the only stock traded for the session at K7.98 unmoved with a total of 16,285 shares valued at K129,954.30 exchanged hands.

In Overseas news, U.S. stocks rallied Friday, lifting the Dow Jones Industrial Average to record levels, raising 42.06 points or 0.3%, to 16,221.14 points after a government report showed the economy grew at its fastest pace in two years last quarter. Meanwhile, Japan trading closed Monday for holiday to observe Emperor’s Birthday. In Australia, the Share market rise continued, in the wake of strong gains on United States and European markets at the end of last week, with the S&P/ASX 200 adding 26.90 points or 0.51% at 5,291.90 points today.
