KSi Daily Report: Monday, 14 September 2015

The week POMSoX trading opened on a quiet note as both Kina Securities stock indices stayed unchanged. The main index KSi was steady at 3,557.80 points whilst Home Index KSHi remained at 9,695.09 points.

All four stocks traded for the session ended flat.

Financial holdings Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) and Credit Corporation Ltd (CCP) traded at K7.40 and K2.50 flat respectively.

On special announcements, Kina Asset Management Ltd (KAM) advised that the Net Tangible Asset of KAM per share as of 31 August 2015 is at K1.02. However, the stock was traded at 97toea.

Today’s POMSoX registered a total of 1,707 shares exchanging hands valued at K3,970.50.

U.S. stocks ended the holiday-shortened week on Friday amid an high note. The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 102.49 points, or 0.6%, to 16,432.89 points. Japan’s Nikkei share average extended its losses today, falling 298.52 points or 1.63% at 17,965.70 points as Chinese markets slid and telecommunication shares continued to be sold off after Prime Minister Abe called on cell phone companies to reduce rates. Meanwhile, the Australian shares advanced modestly and most big banks have kept in positive territory, with the benchmark S&P/ASX200 index adding 25.4 points or 0.5% at 5,096.50 points.
