KSi Daily Report: Monday, 13 April 2015

POMSoX traded modestly on Monday as both Kina Securities stock indices remained flat at the closing. The Main index KSi was steady at 3,556.23 points and likewise the Kina Securities Home Index KSHi maintained at 9,772.09 points.

Three stocks traded today with none that nil gained or fell.

Financial stocks Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) and Credit Corporation Ltd (CCP) closed trades at K7.40 and K2.60 flat respectively, supported by the companies’ ongoing share buyback program. Followed closely by a pharmaceutical cum retail stock City Pharmacy Ltd (CPL) ended at K1.40 even.

Today’s trading session saw 15,050 shares traded, valued at K62,184.40.

U.S stocks finished higher on Friday as GE’s move to exit its financial business helped push the Dow Industrials above the 18,000 level for the first time in nearly three weeks. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 98.92 points or 0.55% to 18,087.65 points. On Monday the Nikkei share average was steady amid a choppy trading session with some investors pocketing gains in major stocks. The Index edged down 0.08% or 16.15 points to 19,891.48 points. Likewise, the Australian share market edged lower as the S&P/ASX 200 benchmark index fell 8.06 points or 0.14% to 5,960.30 points suffered by weak miner stocks.
