KSi Daily Report: Friday, 22 November 2013

Kina Securities stock indices ended mixed for the second consecutive session on POMSoX Friday. The Main Index or the KSi gave away 0.43 points (-0.01%) to 3,832.27 points. Meanwhile, the Home Index or the KSHi collected 5.32 points or 0.06% to close at 8,229.93 points.

A single stock headed north while another stock lost on POMSoX today.

Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) recovered one toea at K8.01 in thin trade.

The stock that moved into the negative territory today was Marengo Mining Ltd (MMC) which fell a toea at 19toea.
Stocks traded today however remained unchanged were Credit Corporation Ltd (CCP) and Oil Search Ltd (OSH) that stayed at K2.60 and K17.02 respectivly.

Friday’s session recorded a total of 6,895 shares valued at K17,307.54.

In New York, The DJI Average achieved its first-ever close above 16,000 overnight as U.S. stocks rallied, boosted by better-than-expected data on weekly jobless claims despite the Fed’s potential reduction in its bond-buying program. The Index surged 109.17 points (+0.69%) to 16,009.99 points. Asian stocks moved higher on Friday with the support of U.S. stock sentiment. Japan’s Nikkei Average gained 16.12 points (+ 0.11%)% at 15,381.72 points. Hong Kong +0.70%, Shanghai CSI300 -0.5%, Singapore STI -0.17%. In Australia, the ASX closed up 47.60 points (+0.90%) at 5,335.90 points on Dow Jones Average’s record close.
