POMSoX trading was active on Friday with only one stock gained compared to three that fell. Kina Securities indices were not available due to internal network issues.

Kina Asset Management Ltd (KAM) added 2toea closing strong at K1.09 amid a thin trading volume despite a low of K1.00 in morning session.

On the down side, New Britain Palm Oil Ltd (NBO) the heavily capital-weighted agricultural stock on POMSoX closed at K14.50, down 50 toea, followed by two other home stocks, Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) and NGIP Agmark Ltd (NGP) down a toea at K7.93 and 2 toea at 80 toea respectively.

Meanwhile, Credit Corporation Ltd (CCP) traded unchanged at K2.60 while Oil Search Ltd (OSH) completed at K17.53 flat.

The day’s session recorded a total of 47,617 shares with a Kina value of K218,539.00.
U.S. stocks finished with solid gains on Thursday after a choppy start to the session shaking off losses that came amid downbeat reports from the Philadelphia Federal Reserve. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 92.67 points, or 0.6%, to close at 16,133.23 points. Japanese stock market jumped on Friday, recouping most of the previous day’s losses, as investors took heart from gains on Wall Street after a reading on U.S. manufacturing hit its highest in nearly four years with The Nikkei share average surged 416.49 points or 2.88% to 14,865.67 points. Similarly , The Australian share market closed higher with gains by the big miners. The benchmark S&P/ASX200 index was 26.4 points, or 0.49% higher at 5,438.70 points by close of market today.
