KSi Daily Report: Friday, 19 February 2016

Both Kina Securities stock indices remained unchanged amid thin POMSOX trading session on Friday. The main index KSI stayed at 3,369.98 points. Similarly, the Kina Securities Home Index KSHI remained steady at 9,343.48 points.

A leader financial stock in terms of market capitalization, Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) was the only stock that traded today. The stock registered a light volume of 583 shares valued at K4,366.67.

In overseas, US stocks closed lower to snap a three-day winning streak after a choppy session as oil prices erased early gains. The Dow Jones Industrial Average declined 40.40 points or 0.25% to 16,413.43 points. Japanese stocks fell on Friday with investors losing appetite for riskier assets after Wall Street snapped and oil prices headed lower. The Nikkei share average tumbled 208.75 points or 1.29% to 15,988.05 points. Australian share market slipped with key bank, mining and energy stocks leading the march downwards. Benchmark index S&P/ASX 200 fell 39.20 points or 0.79% to 4,952.80 points.
