KSi Daily Report: Friday, 18 October 2013

Kina Securities Stocks Indices were steady as trading came to end of the week on Friday. The main index, the KSi, took back what it had lost yesterday solely on the recovery of a major mining stock. The index gained 0.88 points or 0.02% to 3,902.57 points. The home stock index or the KHSi remained steady at 8,284.66 points.

Only one stock traded though out the session, Oil Search Ltd (OSH), recovered 1 Toea to K16.06. In ASX, the dual-listed stock closed flat at $8.70.

There was no other stock that traded on POMSoX today.

The session recorded 5,045 shares with trading worth K81,022.70.

Overnight, U.S stocks mixed as investors turned to the third quarter earnings season reporting after political showdown was temporarily resolved. The Dow Jones Industrial Average declined 2.18 points lower to 15,371.70 points. The Japanese Nikkei dropped 24.97 points (-0.17%) ending at 14,561.50 points. However, Australian stocks, S&P/ASX 200 surged 38.36 points, or 0.73%, closing the market at 5,321.47 points high on news that China GDP on 3rd quarter was improved against previous two quarters slowing down.
