KSi Daily Report: Friday 17, June 2016

Friday’s POMSOX trading session recorded no trades for a third consecutive session with the Kina Securities Stock indices unchanged. The Kina Securities main index, KSi was unmoved at 4,678.06 points and similarly the Kina Securities Home Index KSHi was steady at 9,579.23 points.

In markets abroad, U.S stocks erased early losses to close modestly higher on overnight trading ending a five-day streak of losses. The Dow Jones Industrial Average declined 7.00 points or 0.04% to 17,636.00 points. Japan’s Nikkei share average rose on Friday, rebounding from four-month lows as the surging yen steadied. The Nikkei ended up 182.33 points or 1.18% to 15,616.47 points. Australian share market closed a rough week positively with the financial sector, resource companies and biotechnology giant CSL leading the way. The benchmark S&P/ASX 200 index was up 16.7 points or 0.32% to 5,162.70 points.
