KSi Daily Report: Friday, 16 October 2015

Both Kina Securities Indices were unchanged amid quiet trading on POMSoX for the last trading day of the week. The main index or KSi was steady at 3,484.92 points and likewise the home index KSHi was flat at 9,668.84 points at the close.

There were three key stocks traded but all remained unchanged today.

For Friday’s session, Credit Corporation Ltd (CCP) and Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) both traded steady at K2.40 & K7.44 respectively , while Oil Search Ltd (OSH) registered at K15.15 even. Kina Securities Ltd (KSL) was not traded and stayed at K2.60, while in ASX the stock closed at $1.17, down 1c.

The day’s trading recorded a light volume of 14,949 shares at a value of K68,358.00

U.S. stocks rebounded from a two-day drop to reclaim key technical levels in overnight trading as robust gains by financial shares helped breathe new life into the market. The Dow Jones Industrial Average advanced 217 points, or 1.3%, to finish at 17,141.75. . The Nikkei share average gained 194.90 points or 1.08% to 18,291.80 points , as shares in japan rose on Friday after upbeat U.S. price and jobless claims data eased recent concerns over the U.S. economy. At the close, the benchmark S&P/ASX200 index was up 38.2 point or 0.73% higher at 5,268.20 points after investors support for banks in ASX trading Friday.
