KSi Daily Report: Friday, 14 November 2014

Both Kina Securities Indices stayed on positive territories helped by a slight increases in a home-listed stock amid modest trading activity on POMSoX. The main index KSi was up 0.61 points to 3,713.49 points while the home index KSHi collected 10.65 points or 0.11% to 9,459.36 points.

One of the two stocks that traded today gained. The other ended flat.

Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) had the sole gain as the stock closed 2 toea higher at K7.12.

The only stock that traded unchanged was a leading financial stock Credit Corporation Ltd (CCP) registering one trade at K2.60 even.

A total of 11 trades with combined volume of 60,264 units worth of K388,399.68 were completed during today’s session.

In overseas news, extended falling oil prices did not overshadow U.S stocks which closed mostly higher in overnight trading as investors weighed earnings, data and corporate news against declining oil prices. The DJIA added 40.59 points or 0.23% to 17,652.79 points. Japanese stocks pulled back from a 7-year high on profit taking as investors became cautious before economic growth data next week. The Nikkei share average collected 98 points or 0.56% to 17,491 points. The S&P/ASX 200 of ASX shares gained 11.64 points (+0.21%) closing at 5,454.34 despite mixed performances from all sectors, while energy lagged behind.
