Friday’s POMSOX trading session closed on the red as a major home-listed stock ended lower amid thin trading. The Kina Securities main index KSi shed 1.55 points or 0.03% at 4,816.73 points and similarly the Kina Securities Home Index KSHi slipped 49.25 points or 0.46% to end at 10,675.09.
Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) was the only stock traded today. The stock fell by 5toea to close at K9.00 with a registered light volume of 7,565 shares worth K68,085.00.
In overseas news, U.S stocks closed little changed following a session weighed by concerns over Trump’s latest overtures to foreign leaders. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 6.03 points to finish at 19,884.91 points. Japanese stocks ended flat in choppy trade as investors awaited the release of the U.S monthly jobs report. The Nikkei share average was flat at 18,918.20 points, up by a mere 3.62 points or 0.02%. The Australian stock market recovered after a weak start and was modestly higher after a choppy session on Wall Street. S&P/ASX 200 benchmark index closed up by 13.10 points or 0.23% to 5,658.50 points.
