Both Kina Securities Indices closed on the green on Thursday’s POMSOX trading session with positive movement from a financial home-listed stock. The Kina Securities main index or KSi added 0.32 points to 3,606.59 points and likewise the Kina Securities Home Index KSHi rose 9.85 points or 0.10% to 9,763.13 points.
Four stocks traded with only one gain recorded for the session.
The winning stock for the day was Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) at K7.41, up by a toea.
Other stocks traded unchanged were Credit Corporation Ltd (CCP) and City Pharmacy Ltd (CPL) at K2.55 and K1.47 flat respectively. Dual-listed big mining stock Newcrest Mining Ltd (NCM) closed unmoved at K25.00.
There were 97,994 shares traded today at a share value of K493,170.45.
U.S stocks closed virtually unchanged on Wednesday as early gains faded by the end of the session, for the third consecutive day following disappointing monthly retail sales figures. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 7.74 points or 0.04% to 18,060.49 points. Likewise, Japanese stocks dropped on Thursday as another rise in bond yields around the world kept many investors on edge. The Nikkei share average slumped 192.51 points or 0.97% to 19,572.21 points. The Australian stock market closed lower following a flat lead from Wall Street. The benchmark S&P/ASX 200 shed 29.15 points or 0.51% to 5,686.00 points at the close of market today.
