KSi Daily Report: Wednesday 11 November 2015

Wednesday’s trading closed amid a quiet session on POMSOX despite one key mining stock gaining ground today. The Kina Securities main indices or KSi was up by 65.11 points or 1.81% to 3,665.05 points. Meanwhile, the Home index KSHi remained at 9,566.77 points.

Four stocks were traded. One advanced and others stayed flat. None retreated.

Oil Search Ltd (OSH) added 50toea to close high at K16.50. In ASX, the dual-listed stock gained 4c to $7.91.

Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) and Credit Corporation Ltd (CCP) ended at K7.35 and K2.40 respectively. Another big miner Newcrest Mining Ltd (NCM) closed at K26.00.

Kina securities untraded at K2.60. In ASX, the stock was unchanged at $1.20 with trade volume of 100,000 units.

The day’s trading registered a total of 31,829 shares valued at K236,896.55.

In New York, U.S stocks were struggling to climb as the benchmark Dow attempted to move higher in a session marked by up-and-down swings. The Dow Average added 27.73 points or 0.16% to 17,758.21 points. Japanese stocks were marginally higher as fresh economic indicators from China arrived in line with expectations. The Nikkei share Average rose 20.13 points or 0.10% to 19,691.39 points. Australian shares also closed higher but gains were crimped as investors held back amid releases of Chinese economic data. The S&P/ASX 200 Index collected 23.39 points or 0.46% to 5,122.63 points at the close of market.
