KSi Daily Report: Friday, 27 November 2015

Friday’s trading activity was modest with the Kina Securities Indices heading in mixed directions. The main index KSi gained 11.72 points or 0.33% higher to 3,576.99 points whilst the Home Index KSHi rose 28.48 points or 0.29% to 9,652.73 points.

One stock gained against another that lost.

Winning stock for the day was dual-listed oil and gas stock Oil Search Ltd (OSH) ended at K16.01, up 1toea.

On the downside, banking and financial stock Credit Corporation Ltd (CCP) gave up 5toea to close at K2.30.

Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) was the only other stock traded, closing unchanged at K7.50.

Today’s session registered a substantial volume of 72,709 shares valued at K218,785.10.

U. S financial markets was closed overnight for Thanksgiving Day holidays. In Asia, Japan’s Nikkei share average edged down in choppy trade on Friday. The Nikkei share average shed 79.80 points or 0.40% lower to 19,864.61 points. The Australian share market has faded into the red after a positive start, dragged back by the absence of a lead from US markets, and investor fatigue. On Friday, the benchmark S&P/ASX 200 index was down 8.09 points or 0.16% to 5,202.60 points.
